Snowkidz Video Competition 2011
To also involve the children with the sport event, the SPORT OK wants to organize a video-competition with interesting prices as part of the FIS-Tour de Ski.
All pupils and club members of the age between 6 and 16 are invited to shoot short films on the subject of “cross country skiing” for this video-competition, which will be run via schools, sport associations and the international sport association FIS. During the World Cup event these videos will be shown on a big video screen in the Nordic Arena (Start/Finish). A jury consisting of media experts, sportsmen and sportswomen as well as teachers will award the most original, interesting and creative videos.
Already this past winter the Snow-kids Project has been enthusiastically received by the children. At that time the most original snap shots from the many sent in have been selected and awarded. This time we would like to encourage children and young people to film.

1. Partecipation
The Snowkidz-Video-Contest addresses all children and teenagers from the age 6 to 16.
The kids can participate at the contest in the categories individual creative producer, team in two or as a film crew up to 25 members.

2. Video-shooting
The participants shoot a short film to the topic „Cross country skiing“, which can be an informative documentary, an exciting report, a funny sketch or an entertaining feature film scene. There is no limit to your fantasy and creativity.
The film should not be longer than 5 minutes.
3. Not forget about…
The film on DVD can be sent or handed in personally to the SPORT OK until the 20/12/2010: Sekretariat Grand Hotel, Via Dolomiti 31, 39034 Toblach
The DVD should be marked with the title of the film and the names of the participants.
4. …and the SNOWKID goes to…
Each film will be presented on the 5th and 6th January 2011 during the World Cup from 11:00 AM to 17:00 PM in between the live transmissions of the races on the big screen.
A competent jury, composed of media experts, educationalista and athletes, picks from all filmlets three winners for each category.
The Prize Giving Ceremony takes place on Wednesday, 5th of January 2011 in the marquee of the Nordic Arena in Toblach.
The winners get interesting giveaways and coupons, which are according to the category, suited for groups or individual participants.
Stadium pass:
Every registered contest participant gets a stadium pass which can be retrieved on the 5th of January from 8:00 AM in the accreditation-office in the Kulturzentrum Grand Hotel Toblach. With this pass the kids can enter specific areas of the stadium and they get a snack on the Snowkidz-stand from 12:00 AM to 17:00 PM.
Guided tour:
On Wednesday, the 5th of January 2011 there is a guided tour for kids in the Nordic Arena Toblach. There is a lot to see and discover: the changing rooms, press rooms and some professional athlete of the Tour de Ski.
